Looking back to this time last year I see that I have managed to keep some of my new year resolutions. As they were quite broad and not overly optimistic, it made the task easier. Although 2016 turned out to be a year of unpleasant surprises, upsets and many disappointments it wasn’t all bad. I take it you haven’t grown a beard?! Saves Richard lots of time in the morning tho’, albeit, not quite as long as those in the photos. Trust you had a good Christmas. Quite understandable that you have given up the wine club, it must have been somewhat tedious driving round doing deliveries.
Interesting photos above. I like the giant Yorkshire pud’.
If you are ever round our way, do call. Don’t just drive by.
Amazing that it is 40 years ago since Webbers was opened in Billy. I remember it well. I also remember the little old lady who used to come in and have half portions of things. You were very kind to her. She always looked so sweet and she always smiled.
No doubt you are either in or are off to the snow. Richard is out in Méribel next week. He will have to go high to get the best snow. There is nothing in the village so I understand.
HNY!xx
Thank you for your kind wishes and reminiscences. Those were the days…
I am not sure if the ‘planned’ beard is a threat or a promise. I used to have one, somewhat unkempt, when I first ran Webber’s!
No snow here but the resort resorted to making enough snow and trucking it up to open three pistes. I am sure the Christmas week was a tad quieter but guests were enjoying what skiing there was as well as sunny weather for walking.
I shall certainly keep in touch and will be delighted to pop in one day.
First….Happy New Year to you and Wink.
This proves I got to the end……let the beard resolution slip.

Spoilsport!
Wonderful and inspirational resolutions Brett – glad that most of them revolve around friends and wine – mine too, but in my case beer… My nephew’s brewery is going from strength to strength…
Hope to see you maybe in 2017?
Thank you Jenny! I do include beer in my itinerary too.
Yes, it would be nice to meet up this year.
